1. Acceptance

By downloading, installing, or using any Garden Affairs mobile app or visiting our website at gardenaffairs.me, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the apps or the site.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Garden Affairs apps. If you are under 18, you must have your parent or legal guardian’s permission.

3. Subscriptions (GulfGrow)

The GulfGrow planting calendar is offered as an auto-renewing subscription:

• Monthly subscription: USD 3.99 per month
• Annual subscription: USD 39.99 per year (saves approximately 17%)

Local-currency prices are determined by Apple’s or Google’s pricing matrix at the time of purchase and may differ slightly between countries.

Auto-renewal terms (required by Apple):

• Your subscription automatically renews at the same price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of the current period.
• You can manage and cancel your subscription at any time through your device’s account settings:
  • iOS: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → GulfGrow
  • Android: Google Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → GulfGrow
• No refund is provided for the unused portion of the current billing period.
• Cancellation prevents future renewals; access continues until the end of the period you’ve already paid for.

4. Account responsibility

Garden Affairs apps do not require account creation. Your subscription is tied to your Apple ID or Google account, not to a Garden Affairs account. You can restore your subscription on a new device by signing into the same Apple ID or Google account and tapping Restore Purchases in the app’s paywall or About page.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of our apps.
• Use our apps in violation of any law.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or other users’ data.
• Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute access to the apps.
• Misuse the in-app contact features (Get a Quote, Book Appointment) for spam or harassment.

6. Intellectual property

All content in Garden Affairs apps — including text, graphics, logos, photographs, the planting calendar data, and the underlying source code — is owned by Garden Affairs or our licensors. You are granted a personal, non-commercial, non-transferable licence to use the content within the app for personal gardening purposes only.

Attribution for sourced content:

• Crop photographs in GulfGrow are sourced from Wikipedia / Wikimedia Commons under various open licences. Attribution per photo is shown on the in-app About page.
• Crop care content in GulfGrow is adapted from US extension services (University of Arizona, Texas A&M, UC ANR, University of Florida IFAS) and FAO Near East publications. Attribution per crop is shown in the app.

7. Lead-generation features

Garden Affairs apps include “Get a Quote” and “Book Appointment” buttons that initiate communication with our team via WhatsApp, phone, or email. These buttons launch external apps and are not direct purchases or service commitments. Any subsequent landscaping or gardening service agreement is governed by a separately signed contract.

8. Disclaimers

Garden Affairs apps are provided “AS IS” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

While we strive for accuracy in the gardening guidance we provide, gardening outcomes depend on many factors outside our control — including local weather, soil quality, water quality, pest pressure, and the gardener’s own decisions. We cannot guarantee specific results, harvests, or plant health.

The planting calendar in GulfGrow is general guidance for the Arabian Gulf region. Local conditions may vary; you remain responsible for adapting our recommendations to your specific site.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Garden Affairs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the apps, including but not limited to lost crops, plant losses, or property damage related to gardening activities undertaken in reliance on app guidance.

Our total cumulative liability for any claim under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for the relevant app in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to our apps if you violate these Terms. You can stop using the apps at any time. Termination does not entitle you to a refund of any subscription fees already paid.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Bahrain. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the apps shall be resolved in the competent courts of Bahrain.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the apps or by email. Continued use after a change is published means you accept the updated Terms.
