1. Who we are
Gulf Plants is a mobile app published by Garden Affairs, a landscape and garden services company based in the Kingdom of Bahrain. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information in the Gulf Plants app and on this landing page at gardenaffairs.me/gulfplants.

2. The short version
Gulf Plants collects very little. There is no account to create. We do not run advertising. We do not sell or share your data with anyone except the specific service providers needed to run the app (Apple, Google, and Firebase). Subscription payments are handled entirely by Apple or Google — we never see your card.
3. Information we collect
- Device identifier — the standard installation/update identifier your operating system shares with apps. We do not store this beyond what the OS provides.
- Subscription status — a local copy of whether your subscription is active or inactive, stored on your device.
- Subscription transaction details — processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We see only what those platforms share with us (transaction ID, product purchased, expiry date) — not your payment details.
- Crash diagnostics — if the app crashes, we receive a stack trace and basic device information (model, OS version) via Firebase Crashlytics so we can fix bugs. We do not receive your name, your search queries, or any plant pages you have viewed.
- Plant photos served from our CDN — when you tap to view a full-resolution photo, your device fetches the image from Firebase Storage. The CDN sees the request (IP address, user agent, requested filename) but does not link it to any account, since there is none.
- Plant data is bundled in the app — the plant index, descriptions, and care information are not personalised. Every user reads the same content. We do not track which plants you view.
- Server logs (website only) — standard web logs (IP, user agent, request, timestamp) for the gardenaffairs.me/gulfplants page, retained for up to 90 days for security and diagnostics.
4. What we do not collect
- We do not ask for your name, email, phone number, or address inside the app.
- We do not collect your location.
- We do not collect photos, contacts, microphone, or camera data.
- We do not use third-party advertising SDKs.
- We do not run product analytics that track which plants you view, search for, or filter on.
- We do not track you across other apps or websites.
5. How we use information
We use the information above only for:
- Running the app you have requested to use.
- Validating subscription receipts so we can grant the right level of access.
- Diagnosing and fixing crashes and bugs.
- Complying with applicable Bahraini and international law.
6. Sharing with third parties
We share information only with the following providers, and only as required for the app to function:

We do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.
7. Where information is stored
- App settings and subscription state stay on your device using your platform's secure storage.
- Plant photos are hosted on Google Cloud Platform in the us-central1 region, encrypted in transit and at rest, and served read-only.
- Subscription receipts are validated against Apple's and Google's servers.
- Crash reports are stored by Firebase Crashlytics for the standard 90-day retention period.
8. Photo attributions
Gulf Plants includes 26 photographs sourced from iNaturalist contributors under Creative Commons CC-BY licenses. Photographer credits are surfaced inside the app on every iNaturalist-sourced photo. The full attribution list is available here and inside the app under About → Attributions.
9. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access any information we hold about you.
- Correct any information that is inaccurate.
- Delete any information we hold about you.
- Object to our processing of your information.
- Withdraw consent at any time.
Because the app does not require an account, the practical way to exercise most of these rights is to delete the app and cancel your subscription in your device settings. To make a formal request, email hello@gardenaffairs.me.
10. Children
Gulf Plants is rated 4+ / Everyone and is suitable for general audiences, but it is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
If we materially change this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top and, where appropriate, surface the change inside the app on next launch.
12. Governing law
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

2. الخلاصة باختصار
يجمع تطبيق نباتات الخليج القليل جدًا من المعلومات. لا يُطلب منك إنشاء حساب. لا نعرض إعلانات. لا نبيع بياناتك ولا نشاركها مع أي طرف عدا مزوّدي الخدمات اللازمين لتشغيل التطبيق (Apple وGoogle وFirebase). تتم معالجة عمليات الدفع للاشتراكات بالكامل عبر Apple أو Google — ولا نطّلع نحن على تفاصيل بطاقتك.
3. المعلومات التي نجمعها
- معرّف الجهاز — المعرّف القياسي للتثبيت والتحديث الذي يشاركه نظام التشغيل مع التطبيقات. لا نُخزّنه خارج ما يقدّمه نظام التشغيل.
- حالة الاشتراك — نسخة محلية على جهازك توضّح ما إذا كان اشتراكك ساريًا أم لا.
- تفاصيل عملية شراء الاشتراك — تتم معالجتها عبر متجر Apple أو Google Play. لا نرى منها سوى ما تشاركه هاتان المنصّتان معنا (معرّف العملية والمنتج المُشترَى وتاريخ الانتهاء) — ولا نرى تفاصيل الدفع.
- تشخيصات الأعطال — إذا تعطّل التطبيق، نتلقّى أثر التتبّع ومعلومات أساسية عن الجهاز (الموديل، إصدار النظام) عبر Firebase Crashlytics لإصلاح الأخطاء. لا نتلقّى اسمك أو استعلاماتك أو أي صفحات نباتات اطّلعت عليها.
- صور النباتات من شبكة CDN — عندما تضغط لعرض صورة بدقة عالية، يجلبها جهازك من Firebase Storage. يرى الـ CDN الطلب (عنوان IP، نوع المتصفح، اسم الملف) لكنه لا يربطه بأي حساب لعدم وجوده.
- بيانات النباتات مُضمَّنة في التطبيق — فهرس النباتات والأوصاف ومعلومات العناية ليست مُخصّصة. كل المستخدمين يقرؤون المحتوى نفسه. لا نتتبّع النباتات التي تطّلع عليها.
- سجلّات الخادم (الموقع فقط) — سجلّات ويب قياسية (IP والجهاز ونوع الطلب والوقت) لصفحة gardenaffairs.me/gulfplants، يُحتفظ بها حتى 90 يومًا للأمن والتشخيص.
4. ما لا نجمعه
- لا نسألك عن اسمك أو بريدك الإلكتروني أو رقم هاتفك أو عنوانك داخل التطبيق.
- لا نجمع موقعك الجغرافي.
- لا نصل إلى الصور أو جهات الاتصال أو الميكروفون أو الكاميرا.
- لا نستخدم أدوات إعلانية من أطراف ثالثة.
- لا نُشغّل تحليلات منتجات تتتبّع النباتات التي تشاهدها أو تبحث عنها.
- لا نتتبّعك عبر تطبيقات أو مواقع أخرى.
5. كيف نستخدم المعلومات
نستخدم المعلومات الواردة أعلاه فقط للأغراض التالية:
- تشغيل التطبيق الذي طلبت استخدامه.
- التحقّق من إيصالات الاشتراك لنمنحك مستوى الوصول الصحيح.
- تشخيص الأعطال والأخطاء وإصلاحها.
- الالتزام بالقوانين البحرينية والدولية المعمول بها.
6. المشاركة مع أطراف ثالثة
نشارك المعلومات فقط مع المزوّدين التاليين، وفقط بالقدر اللازم لعمل التطبيق:

لا نبيع المعلومات الشخصية ولا نؤجّرها لأي طرف.
7. أين تُحفظ المعلومات
- إعدادات التطبيق وحالة الاشتراك تبقى على جهازك ضمن التخزين الآمن لنظام التشغيل.
- تُستضاف صور النباتات على Google Cloud Platform في منطقة us-central1، مشفّرة أثناء النقل والتخزين، وتُقدَّم للقراءة فقط.
- يتم التحقق من إيصالات الاشتراك مقابل خوادم Apple وGoogle.
- تُحفظ تقارير الأعطال في Firebase Crashlytics لفترة الاحتفاظ القياسية وهي 90 يومًا.
8. اعتماد الصور
يتضمّن تطبيق نباتات الخليج 26 صورة مأخوذة من مساهمي iNaturalist بموجب رخصة المشاع الإبداعي CC-BY. تظهر اعتمادات المصورين داخل التطبيق على كل صورة من iNaturalist. القائمة الكاملة متاحة هنا وداخل التطبيق ضمن "حول التطبيق ← الاعتمادات".
9. حقوقك
لك الحق في:
- الوصول إلى أي معلومات نحتفظ بها عنك.
- تصحيح أي معلومة غير دقيقة.
- حذف أي معلومات نحتفظ بها عنك.
- الاعتراض على معالجتنا لمعلوماتك.
- سحب الموافقة في أي وقت.
نظرًا لعدم الحاجة إلى حساب لاستخدام التطبيق، فإن الطريقة العملية لممارسة معظم هذه الحقوق هي حذف التطبيق وإلغاء الاشتراك من إعدادات جهازك. لتقديم طلب رسمي، راسلنا على hello@gardenaffairs.me.
10. الأطفال
تصنيف نباتات الخليج هو 4+ / للجميع وهو مناسب للجمهور العام، لكنه ليس موجّهًا للأطفال دون 13 عامًا. لا نجمع عن قصد معلومات شخصية من الأطفال. إذا كنت تعتقد أن طفلًا قد قدّم لنا معلومات شخصية، يرجى التواصل معنا وسنقوم بحذفها.
11. التغييرات على هذه السياسة
إذا أجرينا تعديلات جوهرية على هذه السياسة، فسنحدّث تاريخ "آخر تحديث" في الأعلى، وسنُظهر التغيير داخل التطبيق عند التشغيل التالي عند الاقتضاء.

تخضع سياسة الخصوصية هذه لقوانين مملكة البحرين.
